Mark Edler is a certified public accountant (CPA) with years of experience advising small businesses and entrepreneurs operating companies with between $1 - $50 million in revenue.
Mark uses data analysis techniques and financial accounting fundamentals to help small business owners understand their financial position and leverage growth opportunities. Upon graduation from Villanova University, Mark worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in their Specialized Tax Services group. Mark worked on cutting edge automation projects that helped clients analyze complex tax positions for maximized cash savings. Mark left PwC to help Delphi Wealth Management establish it's first expansion subsidiary, Delphi Tax Management. During his time there, he played a key role in facilitating the company's first acquisition of an accounting firm, while also implementing improvements that resulted in significantly higher revenue per client.
Additionally, Mark contributed to building a robust business infrastructure that would enable the company to expand its operations in the future. Mark currently resides in Philadelphia, PA with his girlfriend, their golden retriever and cat! When he’s not in the office, Mark loves spending time with family, playing the guitar, and traveling.
Maher Abduselam combines his training in law, finance, and as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to uniquely serve his clients.
Maher's extensive experience, over 10+ years, in mergers and acquisitions, tax planning and compliance, tax controversy, and succession planning, uniquely qualify him to assist businesses, individuals, and families with both their legal, business and tax needs.
Maher is well positioned to provide technical assistance to businesses of all sizes. Maher is a graduate of Augsburg College and Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Prior to joining Builders CPA, Maher lived in Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles, and currently in Washington D.C. servicing clients in a variety of industries; most recently at Ernest & Young where he provided technical tax advice and international tax planning services to a portfolio of companies, including Fortune 500 companies. Since 2019 Maher has focused primarily on small and medium sized businesses (SMB) and their owners. Owner's of SMB face a unique business landscape and are constantly juggling several moving pieces.
For some clients, Maher plays a "Personal CEO" role and helps business owners manage their entire portfolio and holistically assist on legal, finance, and tax issues -- he's typically the first call for most clients. Maher also routinely serves on the board of directors of local non-profits and organizations focusing on providing youth educational and economic opportunities. When his work schedule allows it, he loves traveling and adding to the list of 20 plus countries visited.
